Added

  • New license module.
    • License with a login instead of a key (or still use the key if you are more comfortable).

    • Length filter dialogs now accept units similar to standard Revit dimensions. If the project is set to imperial, it will assume feet, if the project is set to metric it will assume mm but other units can be typed in as well. For example, typing ’50mm’ in an imperial project will automatically convert to the corresponding feet and inches measurement.
  • View Reference Master
    • Reference master UI has been refined to be easier to use and more powerful.
      • All views are now available, not just views placed on a sheet so you can reference unplaced views as well.
      • Views can be located by filtering by sheet or by typing part of either the reference or view name in the dynamic search bar.
      • Views give more identifying information including name and type.
    • View to sheet now shows more information about a sheet instead of just the number.
    • View to sheet now has a dynamic search bar at the top to quickly find a sheet by any part of the name or number.
    • Relabel views now has more options for how views are renamed.
      • There are independent checkboxes for views on sheet and views not on sheet.
      • Views on sheets have the option for append, prepend, or replace with sheet reference.
      • Views not on sheets can prepend or append any custom text.

    • Licensing dialog has been upgraded to a new easy to use wizard interface.

    • A ‘Check for Updates’ feature has been implemented. workFlow will check for a newer available build on startup and notify the user if a new build is available and give a download link. This dialog also contains a check box to disallow future checks.

      • Finish map can be edited from the settings dialog.
    • Finish parameter of room can now be set automatically using floors by click (see setting ‘Set Finish Parameter on Creation’).
    • ‘Create Finish Floors’ has been revised and is now ‘Manage Finish Floors’ and now creates a bidirectional link between the finish schedule and floor objects.
      • Dialog now displays current and new finish codes and floor types.
      • New types and/or codes are suggested based on the Finish Code Map but can be overridden manually.

Version 2.1

  • autoLink
    • The list of categories available for autoLinks has been greatly expanded and links can now be created in almost any category.
    • An error possible when initially opening a project has been corrected.
    • A possible issue with the progress bar has been fixed.
    • Extra info in the parameter fields are now ignored (i.e. Sim or O.H.).
    • The issue with views losing their links when moved from one sheet to another has been fixed.  Views are now properly tracked when temporarily removed or moved from sheet to sheet.
    • Changing sheet numbers now properly updates autoLinks.
    • Parameter settings can now be changed on the fly more often.  Only adding new categories requires a Revit restart.

    • Level information now reads correctly.
    • Directions have been reversed for building elevations as a building elevation looking south is considered a North Elevation (since it shows the north face of the building).  Interior elevations remain as before.

Version 2.0

  • General
    • Revit workFlow now supports Revit 2013.
  • autoLink
    • autoLink can now link views from any element to a view reference and update automatically. For example, door head, jamb, and sill parameters can be linked to their corresponding drafting views and they will be updated automatically. Note that this is a 2012/2013 enhancement only.
    • autoLink updating has been streamlined and is now much faster.
    • A ‘Disable autoLink Updating’ check box has been added to the settings dialog to allow the user to temporarily pause view reference updating.
    • User name is automatically read and is no longer in the settings dialog.
    • A warning is given when a linked viewport is deleted.
    • Warning is no longer given if View ID is blank.
  • viewRename
    • The settings dialog has been expanded and updated allowing more view types to be defined.
    • Each view type can now have a view template assigned.  When a view is renamed, the template is automatically assigned.
    • The renaming dialog has been simplified and further automated.
    • Grid locations are now more precise.
    • Warnings about no grid lines and no rooms in the project have been removed.
  • finishFloors
    • ‘Floors by Click’ function has been added allowing the user to place floors by simply clicking the room similar to default Revit ceilings.  Settings for this command can be accessed from the new settings dialog and are as follows:
      • Use Code Map – This option allows finishFloors to look at the finish code map to determine the type of floor to place in a room.  If unchecked, the default type will be placed.
      • Floor Type Not Found – If the floor type specified is not found finishFloors can either place the default type or prompt for a type.
      • Default Floor Type – The default floor type to place if code map is unchecked.
    • ‘Associate Floor’ command has been added to associate an existing floor to a room.
    • ‘Dissociate Floor’ command has been added to dissociate a floor from it’s room.
    • All ‘update’ type commands now function in both ‘verb-noun’ and ‘noun-verb’ fashion similar to default Revit commands like move or copy.  If floors are selected before the command is activated the command is applied to those floors; if not, the user is asked to pick the floors to which the command should be applied.
    • finishFloors can now create thresholds in the finish floor at door sills.  Options for thresholds are:
      • Ignore – No thresholds will be created.  This is the same behavior as previous versions.
      • Face of Frame – Floor finish will be extended to the closest face of the frame at door thresholds.  This requires an accurate parameter for the thickness (Depth) of the frame; this parameter must be in the door family and it’s name must be set in the finishFloors settings dialog.
      • Center of Frame – Floor finish will be extended to the center of the door frame at each threshold.
  • dimensionCheck
    • The primary dialog has been made ‘always on top’ so that it does not get lost behind the Revit main window.
