Laser Scan Data

As-builts often aren’t.

How many times have you worked off of a set of “as-built” drawings only to find out the project wasn’t really built that way?  3D laser scanning provides an effective way, especially in complex projects, to ensure that the information being used as existing conditions is really and truly existing conditions.  For more information on laser scanning click here.

Here’s the problem:
3D scanners output data in a point cloud that can’t be used by software available to most architects and engineers.

The point cloud data from these systems is just too large for most systems and not easily understood by those who are not used to working with it.  If you are a scanning company looking to provide a BIM deliverable to your design clients consider utilizing our experience and knowledge of the architectural industry to provide a deliverable that will meet the needs of your clients.
